A few days ago I received a request from my uncle for information regarding our eBikes and while I messaged him directly, today is roughly a year of ownership so a review is certainly due.
Rewinding a year plus and as the idea of eBikes for our adventure surfaced we did a lot of research and at the time our criteria was that we wanted a foldable, value oriented option.
With this in mind we settled on the Lectric XP eBike. How do we feel about them a year on? Would we buy them again with the same criteria?
We very much like the bikes and they are still a lot of fun...plus, they're great conversation starters and we have received many compliments on them. If our criteria today were the same as purchase date we would buy these again - that being said, Lectric eBikes recently released a step-thru version of this bike and Dana would have preferred that one.

Overall, we are pleased with the bikes and have no regrets, buyers remorse or intentions to trade-in or upgrade to a new bike and continue to feel they are a great value.
Likes:
Foldable - easily fits under our truck's tonneau cover
Adjustability - the seat post and handle bar post adjust to fit most riders and the seat angle is also adjustable
Rack - accommodates up to 55 lbs.
Fenders - after all, not every road is dry
Dislikes:
Lack of suspension - we had not previously owned suspension bikes so we didn't know what we were missing and even with the Big Fat Tires the ride is a bit rough for our older bones on anything less than asphalt/concrete. With this price range full suspension cannot be expected; Lectric eBikes did begin offering a seat post with suspension and this has helped.
Seat - this is a personal preference but, in our opinion, the seat is less supportive and uncomfortable for our taste. The seat is easily changeable so, again, not a big deal and the replacement has helped with the ride even further
Handlebar Width - while this is, again, a personal preference we would prefer the handlebars were a bit wider for better stability. We haven't had any issues, accidents or scares as is but, at speed (15+ MPH) we'd prefer a little more. Perhaps, due to the foldability the width is inherently limited.
Well, there it is. If you're looking for a sturdy, value oriented, foldable eBike we happily recommend the Lectric XP
