How does THIS happen?!?!

Hi friends and family! We just completed a 300ish-mile jaunt to our new home location! As we made the trek, we began discussing how THIS trip was a bit different. Thought you all might find it interesting. 😉

We started this morning with the usual site breakdown (however, we didn't have full hookups so had to make a pit stop at the dump station). Our location? Tennessee...this... morning.

In reviewing the route that Google Maps (GM) laid out for our trip to Illinois, we determined GM obviously does NOT know/recognize we are pulling a long, tall, and heavy fifth wheeler. Pretty sure there were a few "back roads" thrown in the mix with very sharp turns and narrow as heck. Nope...gonna have to override GM.

Normally I act as navigator but Jason took this challenge on himself. You all know me, I won't bore you with the details but wanted to provide the "WTF" for your consideration. 🤣

First, we crossed from Tennessee into Mississippi then back into Tennessee.

(First hour......and YES I used the same TN pic, let it go please....)

From there we crossed the Mississippi River to arrive in Arkansas.

Then we found ourselves riding through beautiful Missouri.

And the kicker was when we crossed the Mississippi River to enter Illinois.

Did you catch that? In a one-way trip, we crossed the Mississippi River TWICE! And traveled in FIVE different states! In less than 350 miles!
