Merry Christmas Eve friends and family!! We hope everyone is enjoying some much-needed rest and retrospection after a difficult year.

So, we shared we were heading to Roswell right? Traveling during this time is especially perilous, as we all know. We cautiously entered Roswell, all the while keeping our eyes peeled for any alien-like beings. We tried to inquire about “probe insurance”…but alas, we couldn’t secure any. LOL! Obviously, I am joking (or am I?) but we did enjoy our time in Roswell. From our RV site, we immediately spotted what sparked several evenings of speculation.

Jason and I have different ideas of what the green lights in the tree were – we both believed they were pods of some sort. But where I thought the contents were future aliens, Jason felt they contained humanoid beings that would later FEED the aliens. Maybe, one day, we will find out who is right. 😉 Even more interestingly when we inspected the tree during the day the pods were gone…weird, right?!?

While we saw several aliens among town, we found them to be rather uncooperative. Even when asking for directions, they would just point…

We ventured through the International UFO Museum and Research Center. It was really quite interesting, and I can see why Roswell/Area 51 has held 50+ years of intrigue for folks. The museum was small but held many fascinating documents (signed affidavits) from crash witness family members – because actual accounts from witnesses were strongly discouraged. Whether you believe we inhabit this solar system alone or share it with others, we had fun expanding our understanding of the events that occurred in July 1947.

Oh! An additional fun fact from our time in Roswell – shopping at the local Walmart Supercenter was quite an ordeal. Due to capacity restrictions, whenever Jason went to do our shopping, he had to stand in line outside for 2+ hours.

The entrance is at the waaaaay end of this pic. Once he entered, our list usually only required about 30 minutes of actual shopping. Now some of you might be asking why we didn’t do the order online and pick-up option. Well…they don’t offer that service for “some” of the items on our list. (Yes, I’m referring to Tito’s and Jack!) 😉 So bless Jason’s heart for taking one for the team during these grocery runs!

Okay, that’s all for now. I’ll be posting soon about our time at the Carlsbad Caverns – spectacular!

Stay safe all and God bless!
